Animalintex Poultice

Animalintex Poultice Dressing is versatile that it can be used as a cold poultice or a wet hot poultice.

Directions for use as a Hot Poultice:

- After cleaning area which is to be treated
- Cut the dressing to size required
- Place Poultice in shallow tray of boiled water which has been allowed to cool to 38 degrees
- Once dressing is saturated, remove dressing and gently squeeze out any excess water
- Place on the affected area with the plastic backing away from the skin
- Hold in place with stretch conforming, elastic adhesive or cohesive bandage
- For open wounds normal antiseptic precautions must be taken

Directions for use as a Cold Poultice:

- After cleaning area which is to be treated
- Cut the dressing to size required
- Once dressing has been soaking in boiled water, allow dressing to cool thoroughly
- When dressing has cooled it can then be applied to the affected area
- It can also be chilled, kept in the bag, in the refrigerator

Directions for Dry Dressing/Pressure Padding:

-Simply apply the dressing directly and bandage with stretch conforming, elastic adhesive or cohesive bandage.
